Is it possible to login a user to a website via AD credentials remotely (outside the ad)?

I have a requirement to authenticate a user in a web app with his credentials from his company's AD - possible.

But it goes further - If the user is home, or in a public place and tries to access the website, he should have the option to login using his username and password from his work computer (his company's active directory).

Is this even possible?
