Interested in starting a 2018 reading goal? Join us in r/52book!

Hi /r/books!

If you're interested in reading a certain number of books in 2018, looking to make reading more of a priority in your day, or just want the opportunity to gab with other folks about the title you just finished or are getting ready to start, feel free to check us out at /r/52book!

We have been going strong for about 7 years now, with the general goal of reading at least one book per week. Some of our members set goals that are much higher, others set their goals to smaller numbers. We don't get too fussy about page count, genres, or how you count series, comics, novellas, short story collections or journals; the idea is for you to challenge yourself. We recognize that your challenge may not be the right challenge for someone else, so this is a pretty self-directed process. We have active members who are reading for a certain number of hours, x number of pages, and those who don't have any goal at all, but enjoy discussing books weekly.

We have a weekly post each Sunday so that participants can check in and discuss their reading progress.

Here is a sneak peak of the next few weeks in /r/52book :

Tuesday 12/26 - 2018 Introduction Thread

Thursday 12/28 - 2017 Round Up: What are some tips or tricks that helped you complete your goal this year?

Sunday 12/31 - Week 52 of 2017! and 2017 Roundup: How did your 2017 reading challenge go?

January 1/1 - 2018 Goal Setting Discussion

Sunday 1/7 - Week 1 of 2018 Weekly Check

Hope to see you in /r/52book!

Happy Reading,

The /r/52book mod team
