My evolutionary reading experience

I recall picking up my first book a few years back, I was 17 or 18 years old at the time.

Back then I indulged in the habit of reading for the sake of its benefits and nothing else, so as a result I would keep track of time to ensure I got a sufficient amount of reading on a daily basis.

As months gradually passed by, I noticed an inconsistent pattern with my reading habits, I was always on and off. Some days interested, other days I wasn't having it.

But I stuck with it and developed a will to power. In other words, I disregarded all the days where I had a lack of energy to read and focused on picking myself back up, to continue reading.

And now what I have found is something beautiful, all of a sudden I don't care about the time I spent reading, but instead I enjoy it for what it is, that is the intellectual stimulation feeling the majority of us crave everyday.

This is a radical change in my life that I did not know was possible back when I used to force myself to pick up the book.

You might be asking what is the reason behind this post and why am I using my time writing this...

It is simply because I have come to learn that whatever turmoil or rough patches you want to overcome in an effort to make something good out of yourself, there is absolutely nothing stopping you from doing so.

You have to understand that willing yourself to action and staying persistent is the ultimate key in all this psychological warfare life has to offer.

As Steve Jobs once said, you have to trust the dots will eventually connect in the future.

Those dots cannot be brought up into existence in the first place unless you remain focused on getting from point A to point B.

Thank you all for your time I hope you enjoyed reading this.
