Hi r/books,

I was always excited about overdrive. I own a Kindle and the ebook prices are pretty expensive in India. I am willing to pay for some library membership similar to overdrive but since I am in India I don't have a library card to use with overdrive. Are there any overdrive like alternatives like a decentralized library where I just pay for membership and everything is online. I use Project Gutenberg and other mediums. I googled a bit but I will be happy to look into recommendations. My local library only has paperback books and it's not much accessible.

Edit : I made this since I see a lot of people are posting about overdrive and kindle being a great combo this week but not able to access outside US. I am also willing to pay for the service and not constraint to free ones. Thanks
