How do you manage your mental health with the current news cycle without completely hiding your heads in the sand?
I had an evening of fairly bad suicidality and then I wake up to a slew of articles on nuclear war likelihoods, LGBT murder rates, and general mortality rates and it doesn't make it easier to try to hold on. Everyone around me is just like "yeah we gone die" so it's not like putting down the newspaper will improve this. It's like being trapped in a particularly heavy handed French existentialist play about being at the threshold of death without crossing it.
