David Zindell (Neverness, Requiem trilogy)
After reading Neverness and the sequel trilogy A Requiem for Homo Sapiens, I was surprised by what feels like a general lack of awareness about these books. Disregarding the flaws in the books - and there are flaws - I thought there was something magically elegaic about the unique way he writes which I found completely enchanting. The worldbuilding was another wonderful aspect of the book, building a genuinely convincing world that existed many thousands of years in the future.
So: for those who have read any of Zindell's works, what did you think?
