Have you ever read the first book in a series, loved it, yet had no desire to read further?
What made you not want to read the rest of the series?
For me it's because I get the feeling the next bonds just won't hold up to how the first one made me feel. So I'd rather preserve my love for a stand alone book rather than slowly lose interest in the series as a whole.
This happened to me with Divergent by Veronica Roth, The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey, and Monument 14 by Emmy Laybourne.
