Just finished reading “The Bastard” (of The Kent Chronicles) by John Jakes. Randomly came across it on my mom’s bookshelf and was very pleasantly surprised. The storytelling and historical accuracy of the book was very entertaining. Great character development and sub-plots. Definitely going to order the other books in this series. My goal is to average a book a month this year so hopefully the remaining Kent Chronicles will help me achieve that.
