Recently read The Invisible Host, which predates And Then There Were None but has a similar premise - thoughts on it? Why is ATTWN so popular and known but not The Invisible Host?

The premise of 8 or so people in a locked location with murders happening seems iconic of ATTWN, but I was surprised to know just how similar TIH was. I wanted thoughts on why one was so much more successful and popular than the other.

Others who have read them both, thoughts on their work in comparison? I personally dislike them both, though I found ATTWN a bit more believable with its murders and a bit more enjoyable with its characters.
