Hello! I recently went a my first psychiatrist appointment and was diagnosed with inattentive ADHD mixed with anxiety. My psychiatrist briefly mentioned prescribing an SSRI. I am hesitant to take this because I believe that my anxiety stems from the ADHD as I am only anxious when life becomes too hectic for me to handle.

I do not really understand how much of a say I have in my medication. Am I allowed to completely refuse SSRIs if I still want other treatment? I am not really sure how the client/psychiatrist relationship works yet. I am just highly convinced that I do not need to be taking an SSRI everyday.
