So some back story for help. My girlfriend Shelby is 18. Her sister Becca is 16. They have been dealing with their dad abusing them physically and mentally. Yesterday he had bounced Becca's head on the floor leaving a bruise on her head. Shelby her friend Drew and I took Becca to the police station to report the situation but unfortunately the station was closed at that time. Shelby and Becca's dad ended up calling the police on Shelby for kidnapping Becca so we called the cop and had him come to the station where we already were and talked to him about the situation. He ended up forcing Becca to go home to her abusive dad despite the fact that Becca was dragged into the house crying and begging the cop to not make her go in there. This afternoon we had drove to Becca's school to take her out to lunch and try to help her feel better. After that we had found out that her dad had sent her to a 72 hour phsyc evaluation. I'm wanting to know but have low faith is there any possible way for Shelby to check Becca out of that psych evaluation?
