Little brother wakes up and feels like he is in the wrong house

Hey Everyone,

Just this morning my little brother woke up and told my parents that every morning he wakes and feels like he is in the wrong house. He also said sometimes he thinks that his Mum and dad aren't his real parents, but only during these nervous mornings. He states it makes him feel nervous, and he thinks of good things to help him. He said it lasts around 30 minutes. He is only 6. We were very surprised that he was able to come to us and explain it so well. He said its been happening for years, and he never told my parents because he didn't want them to feel sad or worried.

I think this might be some form of anxiety? and maybe he's own way of describing his feelings is comparing it to how he feels when he isn't at home and is away from his parents. That is the only reason I can see as to why he would feel like he isn't at home.

We will be organising to see a doctor and then potentially a psych if he needs one. I just wanted to hear your opinion of this issue.

Thanks :)
