I finished this book recently and thought it was...an interesting book to say the least. It was one of those books where I disliked reading it but the plot was interesting enough to want to finish the book. It was a decent enough mystery but the writing was overly flowery and the equivalent of an imaginative brain throwing up everything it saw onto a page, often changing between seeing the story as a novel or as a movie script without warning.

However, I've seen a lot of professional reviewers talk about falling in love with the book and its language and the book has been highly recommended so I wanted to know what others thought. Has anyone read this? If so, what did you think?
