Question for the old-school .Net developers
OK, this is kindof a long shot. Sometime around 2002-2004 maybe, Microsoft had sortof an online game where you could "program" your own insects and (I think) plants. You chose one out of several different insect/plant types, set some stats/attributes like power, health, and it had sortof a scripting engine where you could build out commands and actions for your bug to perform in certain scenarios.
For example, when your bug encountered another bug this fired the "BugDiscovered" event, you write code to attack or run away based on how big the other bug is, whether it's facing towards or away from you, etc.
It was a community-driven thing. The idea was to showcase .Net features, you release your bug into the wild and see how it survives against other people's bugs, make changes, re-release, etc.
As I recall, someone eventually created the "perfect bug" and it pretty much killed anything on the map so everyone quit playing. Anyone remember this, or what it was called?
