Reading stories vs. talking to actual people and real life experience.
I am wondering what the difference is between sitting down with a book and reading a story to see a different perspective and develop empathy, and actually going out into the world and talking to people about their stories. Is reading wasteful because it keeps us from interacting with people in the real world, in other words, why read when you can experience real life and talk to people about their stories?
(I am an avid reading, this is just a thought I had.)
