My updated collection

Something to note. I know I’m missing Absolute Sandman 1, I lent it to a friend so I’m using AS2 to fill.

Another thing. I only recently really got into comics, and I read slowly. I had read Long Halloween and Year One, maybe a few issues of Ultimate Spiderman. So I haven’t read a lot of these. If there’s no comment, I probably haven’t read.

Green Lantern by Geoff Johns Vol 1-3 - Recently finished the first volume. Liked it a lot. It’s a bit all over the place but I’m excited for where it’s headed.

Brightest Day - Haven’t read this yet. I’m wondering if I should read it after GL or read it while reading Vol 3 as I go? Let me know what you’d recommend. I know about the issue with binding and possibly subpar story.

Gotham City Central - I read the first volume in trade, liked it a lot so I grabbed the Omni.

Darkseid War Omnibus - I read all of JL N52 including Trinity War (I think that’s the name) and Forever evil. I liked it overall and there’s ups and downs but great art and highs stakes in this omni. The tie-in in the middle was kind of meh if I remember correctly.

52 Omnibus - I’ve read a couple issues, heard great things. It’s huge. Little intimidating

Grayson - This was a fun read. It’s wacky, but exciting and even touching and deep.

Planetary - Reading this now. It’s trippy af. I have no idea where it’s going but it’s relatively interesting on an issue to issue basis, but fascinating world building and concepts

Absolute Sandman 1-4 - I read volume 1 and it’s.... something. It’s mind bending and fascinating at best, a bit confusing and oddly dark at worst, although still interesting.

Absolute Y The Last Man 1-2 - read volume 1 in trade. It’s really well written with good pacing and characters. Blah blah we all know it’s good. Excited to continue reading.

Absolute Watchmen - So I watched Watchmen the movie and I was like ok.. I think I liked that but... wtf was that. So I got the book and read it digitally, and it pretty much changed my life. I know that sounds drastic but I had a crazy month reading that at work. I don’t have to go on too much about Watchmen but I think CBG19 is doing something with it this month, might try and hop on that. Excited to read it in oversized

Absolute Batman The Long Halloween - read this digitally a long time ago, before I started collecting. It’s great, still one of my favorite stories if not my favorite. Also exited to read this in oversized

Absolute Green Arrow by Kevin Smith - recently finished this I didn’t love it but it’s fun and quirky. Would sell

Absolute All-Star Superman - I read this digitally. Ok confession time. I haven’t really liked anything by Grant Morrison. I mean I haven’t hated it, but it’s all so strange! So I’ve read this a couple times. I’ll admit, the second time through I liked issues 1-6 ish more than the first time. A lot more, I was actually surprised. Maybe on a third, oversized read it’ll really click

Hellboy library 1 - Haven’t read. Art is cool

Gonna jump ahead and say I haven’t read any Marvel Omnibus yet. I tend to lean DC but I’m excited for pretty much all of these. The bindings are all 10x better than any other book easily.

Fantastic four by Matt Fraction - is this any good? I couldn’t find much about it online, I know the Hickman run is supposed to be good.

Descender - read volume 1 in trade. I like Jeff Lemire and this is also good. Cool art, characters, story, concept

Big Hard Sex Criminals - been a while, but I liked this. It was funny and a fun premise, but I was losing interest near the end

James Bond Vargr - fun, quick read. Lots of action and sneaking around. Charismatic bond. I dig it

Walking Dead Compendium 1 - I’ve read volume 1 and 2. I’ve pretty much hated the show since season 2, but I like the book so far. I’ve heard it gets better as it goes even after issue 100, but I won’t lie, I’m skeptical

Essex County and Blankets were both pretty good. I’m not sure how I’d describe them. They’re pretty much what they seem like

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - read volume one, I gotta be honest I dug it but I literally don’t remember a single plot point. I’ll have to reread when I get back to it. It was cool art, though

Irredeemable premier 1-3 - I’ve read premier 1, it’s totally solid. Really liked it, but all the hardcovers haven’t been released yet. So waiting on that.

Sweet Tooth - a good series, first book was pretty great, but I’d say each was is slightly more generic in a way. It’s still okay but nothing beats the first book.

East of West - read volume 1 in trade, so crazy but so interesting. It’s what I wanted Westworld to be, in a way.

Saga - I read volume 1-3 in trade. So good. Hopefully it stays good

Chew - read vol 1-3 in trade, this is one of my favs. I love the comedy and weird dark humor.

Don’t mind my Blu-rays.

Nailbiter vol 1-6 - this was pretty good with a disappointing ending. First volume is awesome, it never gets back up there. It gets really meta and silly

Kill or be killed - is Fantastic. I couldn’t put it down. Vol 3 in a few weeks I believe

Postal - I don’t remember much of this but I remember it was really sort of on the nose. It was okay.

Ultimate Spider-Man- read volume 1-4 in trade, it’s great! Really fun read in sure it’s all been said. One of my favs easy

New 52 Batman (Snyder) - ive read volume 1-5. Really like Court of Owls, vol 2 was okay not as good as 1, death of the family I like and it took a couple of reads but I like zero year overall. Still not as good as Year one

Batman Hush - Cool art by Jim Lee, not a great story but it does what it wants to do. I heard Heart of Hush is good too

Black Mirror - one of the first comics I read. Gotta read it again but I liked it and it had me hooked near the end

Batman Earth one vol 1-2 - big fan of these. They work better together too, I think.

Dark Knight Returns - I can’t lie. I have not read this. I’ve seen the animated movie. Will read soon

Joker - I don’t get the hype. This book I thought was kind of bad. Idk I’ll read it again but I haven’t been a fan of Azzarello so far.

Batman year one - another one of my favorites. I’d get the absolute if it wasn’t $60 for 4 issues...

Superman Earth one - these books do what Man if Steel was trying to do, I think

American alien - cool story of Superman from kid to full on Supes with some fun first appearances

It’s getting late so I’ll wrap it up. All I’ve read from rebirth is pretty great. I’ve read around 10 -20 issues of each of these except flash, like them all.

Daredevil vol 1 was really fun

I Love Invincible. It’s another one of my favorites.
