Inspired by the post: Have you ever read one book by an author and sworn off reading any more of their work? Everyone has an author they dislike but is their any author that as a community we can agree is just good? My personal suggestion is Steinbeck. I'm not saying all of his work is great (I have a deep animosity towards The Pearl) but besides that Of Mice and Men is great and East of Eden is fantastic. So who do you think is a good author?
