Hi, I want to provide a task management system where managers can assign jobs to teams, the system can email the team and management when jobs are near due or over due and we can tie custom forms and documents to tasks for reporting etc. I will also be implementing a fresh user authentication layer with this.

I would like to make this a .Net Core based web solution on Azure with good support for phone and desktop (which is all a bit new for me as I have been doing ASP classic and ASP.Net on legacy systems for far too long).

Just wondering if people here have a preference for existing open source frameworks for task management and general staff-related workflow tools, or if role-your-own is the best approach.
