We're reading Kobo Abe's The Face of Another as a sort of "New Year, New You" theme for January in our new book club. I'm a Kobo Abe newcomer, and I hear wildly different takes on what readers like/dislike about his books. And so, my first two questions: Has anyone read Kobo Abe's work? Is "Japanese Kafka" a fitting title for his style?

And the next question: I see "promotional posts" are prohibited here, so is there an appropriate spot on reddit to promote book clubs?
